Effective Date: July 18, 2019
DailyRoads Ltd. and its affiliates (“DailyRoads”, “we”, “us” or “our”) have created this document to summarize the basic information policies and practices, and to help you understand how we treat such information. This document sets out our privacy commitment to the app users’ personal and public data. We respect the privacy of our users, and recognize the importance of the information they entrust to us.
Personal Information
The “app” (“DailyRoads Voyager” or “DailyRoads Voyager Pro”) can be used without registration or login. A temporary username and password combination is created when the app is first used. These can be found in the DailyRoads.com group of settings. The login details are used when uploading videos/photos to the site. For the purpose of statistics and targeted advertising, third-party libraries may collect, store, share and/or transfer various anonymous end-user IDs and location data.
We may also occasionally collect our users’ IP addresses and information regarding the use of our website and services. We may use such IP addresses to help diagnose problems, track page views and – if necessary – deny service in accordance with our Terms of Use, or comply with legal requests of the authorities.
The information we collect is not shared with, or sold to, other organizations, unless we have your permission, or under the following conditions:
- If it becomes necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, spam, safety of any individual or third party, violations of the Terms of Use, or as otherwise required by the law.
- In the event a change of ownership, merger or acquisition, we reserve the right to transfer all user information to a separate entity. We will notify our users before the migration, when the information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. You must be at least 18 years old to use our app.
Geolocation
The app uses GPS info provided by the Android system to geotag photos and videos, practically attaching such info as metadata, both outside and inside of the media files. The GPS info is sent to DailyRoads servers only when you explicitly upload videos/photos, or enable automatic uploads. If you wish to opt out from geolocation, you can disable GPS in the app’s settings, or in the main Android settings of the device.
Uploaded Videos and Photos
DailyRoads permits you to automatically or manually upload videos, photos and other content to our servers. Automatic uploads are disabled by default, and you can enable them in the app’s video and photo settings. The visibility level of all uploads can be set in the DailyRoads.com group of settings.
- Public: everybody can view the video with the GPS route, listen to its sound track, and see your username.
- Anonymous: everybody can view the video with the GPS route, but sound is disabled, and the username is hidden.
- Friends: same as the public option, but only your friends can view the video. There will be an option on the site to manage the list of friends.
- Private: only you can have access to the video.
You retain ownership of any uploaded videos and photos. However, for Public and Anonymous files you grant DailyRoads a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferrable license, with the right to sublicense, copy, modify, use, create derivative works of or distribute in any manner such files with the associated GPS coordinates, without further notice to or consent from you, and without the requirement of payment to you or any other person or entity.
Videos uploaded for conversion via the Overlays service are not part of the above categories, are always treated as private, and are deleted after 10 days.
Whenever a video or photo is uploaded to our server, it comes with metadata about the device’s details (such as manufacturer, model, Android version) and video settings specified in the app. We use such data to build a statistics database of the most common video settings, and make this database publicly accessible to help our users with device configurations.
You are responsible for any mobile charges that you may incur for using the app or our Services. If you are unsure what those charges may be, you should consult your service provider before uploading any files via the app.
You agree not to upload illegal content or to violate the privacy of your passengers, other fellow drivers, or pedestrians, according to applicable laws regarding the usage of dash cams and/or recording others by video or otherwise. You also warrant that none of the content you provide is defamatory, libelous, hateful, violent, obscene, pornographic, unlawful or otherwise offensive, as determined by DailyRoads in its sole discretion.

The app uses these third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. These services have their respective privacy policies:
- Google Play Services
- AdMob
- Firebase Analytics
- Fabric Crashlytics (now part of Firebase)
- AppBrain
- CloudRail
Cookies
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device’s internal memory. The app does not use these cookies explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use cookies to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device.
System Logs and Maintenance
For operation and maintenance purposes, this app and any third-party services may collect data that record interaction with this app or use for this purpose other personal data (such as IP address).

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy, and possibly send a notice to the email address specified in your account. It is strongly recommended to check this page often, referring to the date of the last modification listed at the top. Continued use of the app is deemed approval of all changes.
